Message from the new Recreation Director

Recreation Director Dale FavaDear Elmwood Park Community,
My name is Dale Fava, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Recreation Director for Elmwood Park.
With over a decade of experience in educational administration and student management, combined with a strong background in athletics and community program coordination, I am eager to bring my skills to this new role. As a lifelong resident of Elmwood Park, I have had the privilege of participating in the Elmwood Park Recreation programs from a young age. My own journey began at just nine years old, playing football, wrestling, and baseball through the very programs I now have the honor of leading.
I firmly believe that teamwork and open communication are key to delivering exceptional services, and I am committed to ensuring that Elmwood Park Recreation continues to thrive.
It is truly an honor to serve such a vibrant and dynamic community, where recreation and leisure activities play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
My vision for Elmwood Park Recreation is simple: to foster an inclusive, engaging, and thriving environment for everyone. Whether you’ve been a part of this community for years or are new to Elmwood Park, we offer a diverse range of activities, programs, and events for individuals and families of all ages and interests. From our parks and sports leagues to special events and fitness classes, there is something here for everyone.
In the coming months, we will continue to build upon the strong foundation of our recreational services while also expanding new initiatives. My primary focus will be on increasing access to our programs, enhancing community engagement, and ensuring that our facilities remain safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all.
I look forward to hearing your feedback, ideas, and suggestions as we work together to make Elmwood Park Recreation the best it can be. Whether you're joining a class, participating in a sports league, or simply enjoying a stroll through one of our parks, your involvement strengthens our community and contributes to our shared success.
Thank you for your warm welcome. I look forward to seeing you at our parks, programs, and events!
Sincerely,
Dale Fava
Recreation Director
