The Residents Assistance Program Committee along with borough officials recognized Mr. Larry Inserra Jr., CEO of Inserra ShopRites, and local resident Rachel Johnson, for their generosity to help those in need in our community.

The Elmwood Park Mayor and Council were proud to accept the Municipal Innovation Summit Award for our Residents Assistance Program.

The Mayor, Council, Recycling Coordinator will be sponsoring a Litter Clean up Day on April 10th, 2021. Everyone is invited to come and help keep our community clean. Gloves, masks and litter bags will be provided.

The Elks Club has a limited supply of Dr. Seuss crafts and a book to use on octor Seuss Day for ages 5 to 7. Please text 973-460-6979 with your name, e-mail address, and the child’s first name only and age. This is a first come, first served basis. You will receive a text back in you have made the list of recipients. Pick up will be at the Elmwood Park Elks Club, 182 Market Street, Elmwood Park, NJ on February 28, 2021 between the hours of 1 and 3.

Gaeta Recycling Company will be picking up recycling (co-mingled) that were not collected due to the storm on these following days:

• Monday Section 1 will be collected on Friday 2/5/2021;
• Tuesday Section 2 will be collected on Saturday 2/6/2021.

Hanaim Church located on River Drive in Elmwood Park donated 2000 KN95 masks to the Residents Assistance Program and our Police Department. We are so thankful for the generous donations that we receive from the church. We as a community appreciate all that they do for us.

Please be advised that a Special Meeting of the Elmwood Park Mayor and Council will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 4:00PM in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 182 Market Street, Elmwood Park, NJ (prior to the regularly scheduled Work Session Meeting) for the purpose of:

2 – Rescind Resolution R-34-20 Appointment of Risk Manager – Professional Insurance Associates

Copies of this notice were distributed to the Mayor and Council, Officers, Municipal Attorney, emailed to and published with The Record and Herald News, filed in the office of the Municipal Clerk and posted on the bulletin Board in the Municipal Building.

The Residents Assistance Program is proud to announce that over 60 families in need were helped through its Holiday Toy Drive.

We would like to thanks our local businesses, residents, families, and friends for making this possible through their generous donations.

The Elmwood Park Residents Assistance Program & Elmwood Park Police Community Relations Division is extremely thankful for Hanaim Church's toy donation to the Elmwood Park Residents Assistance Program Toy Drive.

The Residents Assistance Program conducts their annual toy drive to make a child's Christmas a little more special!!

Together we can make this year better 1 smile at a time.

Additionally, the December 10, 2020 6:00PM Special Executive/Public Meeting at 6:00PM will also be held in person.

A Police Communications Dispatcher is responsible for receiving and transmitting pure and reliable messages, and recording other important information. They receive calls from individuals who need assistance from first responders. Once information is obtained from the caller, dispatchers activate the services necessary to respond to the nature of the call for help.This is to advise of a future vacancy for the above referenced position in the Elmwood Park Police Department.
